Barrow Extended Services Team

BEST is the Barrow Extended Services Team:
we are a family of schools which works
together to provide a range of services for children and their families across our area.

To help us to provide these services,
we receive a small amount of additional
government funding. We believe we can
make best use of this by working in
partnership together to identify need and
to extend opportunities for children and
young people, their families and the wider
community which we serve.

The aim of our partnership is to ensure that
all children and young people in our schools
should have access to a range of extended
services by 2010. Schools will provide these
services where appropriate, or alternatively
provide signposts to services available locally.The purpose of this handbook is to help
parents to know where they can access the services they need.
