CHARNWOOD BOROUGH COUNCIL – LEISURE SERVICES Wild: Charnwood Leisure Pass
The WILD Charnwood leisure pass scheme is available for anyone between the ages of 5-16 and people with disabilities [regardless of age] giving the opportunity to participate in sport and leisure activities at a discounted rate. It offers fantastic savings on all of their activities, including all holiday activity programmes. 25% discount is offered on all activities to Wild card holders, however, if youngsters are eligible for free school meals they can receive 50% discount.
Children’s Sports Programmes.
Leisure Servicesprovides a comprehensive programme of sports and leisure activities during term time and school holiday periods. The programme includes activities for beginners to advanced, provides opportunities to try something new, provides discounted activities for members of the Wild Card scheme, utilises local clubs to deliver activity and provide further opportunities, provides transport and includes family theme park days.

We’ve recently updated the sports club directory for the Borough. Information can be found on local clubs that provide opportunities to get involved in sport from 5 to 90 years old!
Community Sports Coaching Scheme
Supported by partners, including the Barrow Extended Services Team, Charnwood Borough Council currently employs 2 full time community sports coaches to deliver multi sports sessions within schools. The Coaches are responsible for creating school-club links and delivering the Long Term Athlete development programme. The Community Sports Coaches work interlinks with the school sport programme, wider community sport initiatives and holiday activity programmes.
